In the third quarter of 2024, the social networking landscape in Estonia saw varied performance among the top five apps on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Threads maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads beginning at around 2.9K in early July, peaking at approximately 3.9K in late August, before settling at 2.9K by the end of September. Despite the fluctuations in downloads, no revenue was generated from the app throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger exhibited a stable pattern in downloads, ranging from 1.8K to 2.1K per week. The app's revenue remained constant at $1 each week, indicating a steady but modest monetization strategy.

Telegram Messenger experienced a dynamic quarter with weekly revenue starting at $2.5K, hitting a high of $4.3K in August, and closing at $3.8K by the end of September. Downloads were relatively stable, fluctuating between 1.5K and 1.8K weekly.

Facebook saw a steady stream of downloads throughout the quarter, averaging around 1.1K weekly. Revenue showed a slight increase, starting at $299 and peaking at $431 in early September, before ending the quarter at $400.

Google Meet demonstrated a gradual increase in downloads, starting from 366 in early July and reaching 832 by late September. However, like Threads, it did not generate any revenue during this period.
